Seeds of Hope!

First Step in Wedding Preparation!

Special arrival today! As we dig ourselves out of the snow....A box full of thousands of seeds ordered from GeoSeed is in the mail. Been picking out the best variety of annuals for us to grow on the front acre, all of which are suitable for use in bouquets and decoration for the wedding (Oct 10) I will be planting new types in 2 week successions. These babies are going to be started in our garage bathroom under grow lights and from all organic soil mix.
March 10th is the earliest I can start growing indoors.
The setup we have rigged will allow us to start 1600 plants at a time! No containers as we are using the european method - soil block makers, which creates a superior seedling that really take off after transplanting.
More to come with pictures of the setup and step by step instructions.
Flower farming here we come!

Way too many types of flowers to list but here are a few of the varieties:

Dahlias
Zinnias(about 15 types!!)
Larkspur
Lemon Basil (bouquet filler)
Celosia
Asclepias (butterfly weed)
And of Course...Sunflowers! (pollenless hybrids)
